Canon TX-F Full Auto Tonometer

Canon TX-F Full Auto Tonometer

Detailed

Canon TX-F Full Auto Tonometer

With a non-contact Tonometer, an air puff nozzle built-in the center of objective lens is placed very close to the surface of the patient’s eye. A puff of air is then blown at center of the cornea, and an instrument calculates pressure from the change in the light reflected off the cornea. One problem with this method is that measurement errors can easily occur if the air puff nozzle is not placed in exactly the right position. The patient’s eye often moves, which necessitates special adeptness on the part of the operator due to the difficulty of aligning the machine manually according to the eye movement.
